Last week we had our second library coffee house hosted by Ms. Wine's advisory. Our musicians Jack and Maddie did a great job and the candles and mood lighting helped make it even better. And of course, all the proceeds will be going to buy animals for Heifer. If you are a musician and you want to play some morning or if your advisory wants to host a coffee house, just let us know.

The Drs. Farokhi

Mr. Emmons is making good on his promise to dress as Dr. Farokhi today. Kind of funny and a little bit scary! At least it helped us raise money for refugee children.

Jay Asher and Carolyn Mackler

We were so honored to host Jay Asher and Carolyn Mackler today. They were here talking about their new book The Future of Us. They were both interesting and entertaining and graciously signed books and talked to students and even watched some 8th graders' videos of book projects. Thank you so much to The Little Shop of Stories for sending them to us. We are hoping to also see some of their Galloway photos on Jay Asher's blog tonight.

Norton Juster at Galloway

We were honored to host Norton Juster, author of The Phantom Tollbooth, at Galloway today. He spoke to all of Ms. Starkman's sixth graders. He graciously answered many questions and enjoyed hearing their questions and comments about the book. He was accompanied by Leonard Marcus, co-author of The Annotated Phantom Tollbooth
